Gold Paste Worth Over Rs 20 Lakh Seized From Passenger At Pune Airport

Pune 1st July 2023: The Custom officials at the Pune Airport have nabbed a passenger on his arrival from Dubai and seized gold paste worth over Rs 20 Lakh from his possession. The gold paste according to custom officials was concealed in rectum.

“On profiling, a passenger arriving from Dubai to Pune by SG 52 was intercepted by officers of Pune Customs at Pune International Airport on 01/07/23. Two capsules were found concealed in rectum. Gold paste weighing 420.71 gms was recovered valued at Rs. 20,30,974” custom official said in a statement. Further investigation is in progress.
