Good response to Under 11 and Under 19 District Selection Chess Championship

Pune, April 17, 2023: Over 100 boys and girls players will be seen in action in under 11 & Over 50 plus Boys and Girls players will be seen in action in under 19 Pune District Selection Chess Tournament which will be organised by Pune District Chess Circle on 19th to 20th April 2023.

Both the Tournaments will be played at Ganesh Sabhagruha, Karve road , Pune & Ashwamedh Hall , Karve Road , Pune

Tournament Coordinator Mr.Prakash Kunte informed The event will be played under Swiss league format. Prominent players who have confirmed their entries in Under 11 includes top seeded Avirat Chauhan (1411), Shlok Mali (1299), Om Ramgude (1275) in the boys event, while in the girls event Chaturthi Pardeshi (1219), Mihika Bole (1077).

In Under 19 event some notable players include top seeded Viresh Sharnarthi (1685), Om Lamkane (1666), Shlok Sharnarthi (1569) in the Open Group event, while in the girls event Shravani Undale (1402), Pratiti Khandelwal (1131).

Seven players from boys category and Six players from girls category will be selected in Under 11 & Seven players from Open category and Four players from girls category will be selected in Under 19 to represent Pune District in the Maharashtra State Under 11 & Under 19 Age Boys & Girls Selection Chess Tournament.

The tournament will be inaugurated at the hands of Chief Guest Mr.Mahesh Kunte , Chairman & Managing Director of Varad Property Solutions Pvt.Ltd. & Guest of Honour Mr.Ashwin Trimal Vice President PDCC , one of the Sponsor of this Tournament on Wednesday , 19th April 2023 at 9.15am.
