Google Pixel 9a Price Leaked Ahead of Launch, Expected in March – Check Expected Features

New Delhi, 26th February 2025: Google is preparing to launch the Google Pixel 9a, a toned-down version of its Pixel lineup. Reports suggest that this upcoming phone will be priced similarly to its predecessor. According to a report by Android Headlines, its pricing in the US and Europe will remain the same as the Pixel 8a, which got launched in May 2024. The report states that in most parts of Europe, the Google Pixel 9a will be priced at €549 (₹50,200) for the 128GB model and €609 (₹55,700) for the 256GB model. Earlier leaks indicated that in the US, the phone is expected to cost $499 (₹43,400).
However, Android Headlines also states that the Google Pixel 9a will be available for $679 (Rs 59,100) for the 128GB variant and $809 (Rs 70,500) for the 256GB version. At a time when smartphone prices are rising, Google deciding to maintain the same pricing for the Pixel 9a—especially with its significant redesign—is indeed a smart move.
Let’s take a look at its possible prices in India.
Google Pixel 9a Expected Price in India
Google Pixel 9a’s official pricing in India hasn’t been revealed yet, but it is expected to follow the price of Pixel 8a.
For reference, Google Pixel 8a was launched in India at:
- ₹52,999 for the 128GB variant
- ₹59,999 for the 256GB variant
According to previous reports, the expected US pricing for Google Pixel 9a is:
- $499 (approx. ₹43,400) for 128GB
- $599 (approx. ₹51,800) for 256GB
The base model is priced at the same as its previous model Pixel 8a, but the high storage variant has seen a hike of $40 (about Rs 3,400).
If Google follows a similar pricing strategy in India, then:
- The starting price of Pixel 9a could be ₹52,999
- The 256GB model could go up to ₹64,000
This would lead to a price difference of over ₹10,000 between the two storage variants.
