Government dismisses reports of nationwide lockdown from 15th of June
Pune, June 10, 2020: The Central Government has dismissed the reports circulating on social media that the Home Ministry may suspend air and rail services and again impose nationwide lockdown from 15th of June. Press Information Bureau terms it fake, reported All India Radio (AIR).
Some anti-social elements want to spread panic in the society by making false news viral in the name of Zee News, the channel said. The message in the fake news screenshot stated that “The entire lockdown may be possible from June 15 onwards, the Home Ministry will give the signal, train and air travel will be suspended.”
Zee News clarified that they have not shown any such news on its channel nor has run any such breaking news. “This is a conspiracy to malign Zee News. This photo of the TV screen being spread in the name of Zee News is completely fake and photoshopped. We want to appeal to our audience and readers to ignore fake news. Zee News will take legal action against those behind this false propaganda”, Zee News stated.
