COVID vaccine prices in private hospitals

At present, vaccines are available free of cost at government centres. Private hospitals have been charging Rs 950 for one dose of Covishield which will be reduced now.

Earlier, there was no guideline for fixing the price of the vaccine dose, therefore hospitals charged as per their convenience. The new guideline will provide relief to people who have been flocking to private hospitals due to vaccine shortage at government centres.
