Government is positive over autorickshaw owners demands : Chief Minister Fadnavis
A meeting of representatives of various Rickshaw Chalak Malak was organised in Mantralaya in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today. Mr. Fadnavis was speaking in this meeting.
Public Works Department ( MSRDC, Public Undertaking) Minister Eknath Shinde, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Bhushan Gagrani, Maharashtra Rickshaw Chalak Malak Association’s Joint Action Committee President Shashanka Rao and representatives of various Rickshaw organizations were present in the meeting.
Various rickshaw organizations in the state had declared that they will go on strike today. In that background, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had invited these organizations to the meeting. Last night, after the message of the Chief Minister, the organizations had called off their strike.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that a provision will be made to get the funds for the welfare board of Rickshaw Chalak Malak. Various schemes will be implemented by the board for Rickshaw Chalak Malak. A committee comprising of representatives of government and organizations will be formed in the next seven days to determine the nature of the scheme and the nature of the Welfare Board. After the recommendation of the committee, soon after establishing Welfare Board, the various welfare schemes will be implemented for Rickshaw Chalak Malak, Mr.Fadnavis added.
Chief Minister also said that the government is also positive about the various other demands of the Rickshaw Chalak Malak and will also take an early decision on it.
