The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued an advisory, urging caution due to the recent surge in unverified, provocative, and misleading messages on social media, which have the potential to disrupt communal harmony and public order.

The advisory specifically warns news publications, private satellite TV channels, and digital media outlets against disseminating false or misleading content during these sensitive times. Social media platforms are also advised to refrain from displaying or publishing such information to prevent the spread of misinformation that could adversely affect social harmony and public order.
