Government will bring a new policy for upgradation of the remand home – CM Fadnavis

Mumbai, 16.June.19: “Government is working hard in the view of skill development, education, sports, facilities, child’s safety and provision of nutritious food for the children in remand home. Government will bring new good policies for the improvement of these children” informed Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister and president of Children’s Aid Society.

He was speaking in the annual general meeting of the Children’s Aid Society held at Sahyadri Guest House. Women and Child Development Minister and Vice President of the society Pankaja Munde, Society’s Executive President Sunil Rane, Secretary of the Women and Child Development Department Vinita Ved-Singhal, Commissioner Rishikesh Yashod and members of the society were present in the meeting.

Chief Minister further said that The Children’s Aid Society is doing excellent work for nurturing children. Society has the attention on their diet and health which is very important for the all-round development of the children. Nobel peace award winner and child right activist Kailash Satyarthi is doing valuable work in this regard. Government will help the society for children’s welfare. In coming days, the society will be the unique organization in the country.

He further informed that the society’s rules will now be revised and general meeting of the society will be organized every year. In the coming two months all round development of the remand home will take place. Out of the 12 members of the society, 6 are appointed by the government. Chief Minister has ordered to ask the application form for remaining six post of the new members, again. An advertisement should be given in well-known newspapers to give advance information about the meeting, and should also consider the opinion of the members. Members must know the agenda of the meeting before a week.

Honorable Chief Minister appealed to take benefits of 1 % reservation in jobs given by the government for orphaned students.

Pankaja Munde said that society has taken good decisions in terms of children’s health. It has stopped the outside and stale food which shown good effect on the health of the children. The work of the Aadhaar card and identity card of the children is also excellent. Apart from this, orphan certificates will be given, which will be benefited for the job.

“The Children’s Aid Society is the largest organization in Asia, and government will help the organization to provide education, training and rehabilitation of the children”, stated Pankaja Munde.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadanavis approved the annual administrative report for 2014-2017-18 , the budget scrutiny proposal for the time period of 2012 to 2018, the chartered accountant appointment and dilapidated building repair fund.

Members shared different suggestions about the remand home. The Society’s Working President Mr. Rane give the presentation about developments which took place in last three months, on this occassion. Chief Officer Vijay Kshirsagar presented the report of the society. The meeting was attended by Sharad Dave, Vishwanath Chaudhary, Aruna Acharya, Mrs. Bhandare, Nilesh Pawar, Shailaja Mhatre, Dr. Chetana Patil, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Vinay Kumar Chaubey, Deputy Commissioner Rajendra Dabhade .
