Government Will Preserve History Of Forts: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde
Junnar, 19th February 2023: Chief Minister Eknath Shinde asserted that Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is a role model not only for the state but also for the country and the world. Shinde asserted that since the forts built in the era are our history and wealth, the work of preserving them will be done properly.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti was celebrated enthusiastically in the presence of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at Shivneri Fort, he was speaking at that time. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Tourism Minister Mangalprabhat Lodha, and MP Shrimant Chhatrapati Sambhajiraje Bhosale attended the event.
The government has decided to reserve three per cent of the funds of all District Planning Committees for forts every year. Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said that since this fund is in addition to the separate fund of the fort, there will be no shortage of funds for conservation.
In the presence of the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, women in traditional attire sang songs telling about the importance of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The National Anthem and ‘Garja Maharashtra Mazha’ was played by the police band. After that, the police team paid tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj by firing three bullets.
