Govt to set up constituency wise electricity distribution supervision committee in Municipal area

Pune – For better communication between consumers and the electricity distribution company, the government has decided to to set up constituency wise electricity distribution supervision committee in Municipal area. Such committees already exist at the taluka and district level.

This enhances the efficiency of the company and also helps resolve consumers grievances. The committee will meet every three months.

The municipal commissioner has to constitute the committee and appoint of non-government members on the recommendations of the district guardian minister.
