Govt Vehicles put on Tracking System IN Udhampur
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 12- District Administration, Udhampur, has initiated installation of Vehicle Tracking System in all Government Vehicles including official vehicles, load carriers, heavy vehicles, ambulances and other machinery including earth excavators for better surveillance and monitoring.
In Phase-I 16 vehicles have been fitted with the Vehicle Tracking System enabling their movement and location recording online. These vehicles include official vehicles of District Development Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Addl Deputy Commissioner, ExEn PWD, ExEn PMGSY, ExEn EM&RE, ExEn STD, ExEn REW, PO DPAP, District Soil Conservation Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, ExEn PHE, ExEn I&FC, District Sheep Husbandry Officer and CEO Municipal Council.
The Vehicle Tracking System will help generate Digital Tour Diary of officers apart from enabling safety of Government Vehicles. In Phase-II all ambulances, trucks and other load carriers will be put to VTS followed by other Government and hired vehicles. The vehicle tracking system has been launched under District Innovation Fund as a part of Digital India Programme.
