Pune, 06 June 2024:  – The alumni of Seth Dagduram Kataria High School, Mukundnagar Pune has organized a unique art exhibition for their beloved Art Teacher. Alumni students from various fields including doctors, engineers and designers came together to form the ‘Ex-Katariyan Art Group’ a few years ago. As the school celebrates the 75th birthday of Shailaja Pathak Madam, a former art teacher, many art students are coming together to honor her legacy by showcasing their collective art works through a special art exhibition.

The exhibition, themed “Guru-Shishya”, will be open for all from 10 am to 8 pm on June 7-9 at Yashwantrao Chavan Art Gallery, Kothrud. It will be a wonderful opportunity to admire these works of art, reconnect with old friends and celebrate the remarkable impact of a truly inspirational teacher,” informed alumni Aparna Apte, member of organising group.

“Many of us later graduated in design from Abhinav Kala Vidyalaya. The exhibition will be inaugurated by two eminent artists, Milind Phadke and Dhananjay Sastekar, Abhinav’s former professor and our second “guru”, at 11 am on Friday, June 7,” said Mrinal Kenchi, another alumni student.

In this art exhibition, alumni students and some of the teachers as well of Katariya High School have painted more than 100 different paintings based on the theme “Guru-Shishya”.
