Senior Police Inspector Ramesh Sathe, in-charge of Hadapsar police station, said, “We have formed a team and given them receipt books provided by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). Anybody who is being found without a mask is made to pay Rs 500 fine and a receipt is being issued. Between September 2 and 8, we have penalised 743 persons and collected Rs 3.73 lakh fine.”
