Pune: 4885 new Corona patients in Pune district, 69 deaths

Pune, Sep 10 , 2020: With the addition of 4885 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 2,06,290 in Pune district. Also, 3085 patients got discharged from hospitals while 69 people died.

Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 2,06,290 patients 1,63,071 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 4794 people have died. There are still 38,505, active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 38505, 14,742 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 8,79,702 people have been tested in the district.

The 2,06,290 patients include 111,916 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 58,747 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 3979 from Cantonment areas, 24,195 are from Rural areas, and 7453 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 4,465,863 across the country. Out of this, 3,471,783 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 75,062 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 919,018 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
