Haryana Khap Panchayats To Boycott Those Applying For Agnipath Scheme

Rohtak, 23rd June 2022: The Agnipath Scheme is being opposed in Haryana likewise the Farmer’s protest. Some of the leaders of Khap Panchayats have appealed that those who will apply for the Agneepath Scheme will be socially boycotted.

Moreover, these leaders have also appealed to oppose the leaders of the BJP and Jananayak Janata Party. Apart from this, an appeal to oppose those corporate houses supporting this scheme has been made by the leaders of Khap Panchayats.

Along with Anand Mahindra, many other businessmen have supported this scheme and have promised to give jobs to those youngsters who will retire as ‘Agniveers.’

According to the reports, in the Rohtak district of Haryana, a meeting of the leaders of Khap Panchayat and other community leaders took place. In this meeting, leaders from Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan and some of the student organisations also participated.

The Chairperson of this meeting, Opi Dhankhad said, “We will boycott such people from society who will try to apply for this scheme. We are against this scheme which is making youngsters ‘labourers’ in the name of Agniveers.”
