Mumbai, August 27, 2020: Today, students of Government Senior Secondary School at Morni’s Koti village in Haryana received smartphones arranged by the philanthropist actor Sonu Sood and delivered by his friend Karan Gilhotra to the principal of the school. The students were ecstatic to connect with him through a video call.

Sonu Sood read a report published by the Indian Express newspaper on how students residing in a remote village in Haryana have to travel miles to access smartphones for attending online classes. He was moved by the report and soon came forward to help the students.

The actor was happy after delivering the smartphones to the kids and tweeted, “A wonderful beginning to my day watching all the students get their smartphones to attend their online classes. @Karan_Gilhotra पढ़ेगा इंडिया तभी तो बढ़ेगा इंडिया। n thanks to @HinaRohtaki for bringing this need for the students to our notice.”

As soon as the actor got to know about the plight of the students on August 24, he tweeted, “No more travelling for these kids. They will have their smartphones by tomorrow. @Karan_Gilhotra @HinaRohtaki.”
