Heavy Rainfall Surprises Pune Residents, Throws Traffic Out Of Gear

Pune, 6th March 2023: Unseasonal rainfall has caught the residents of Pune by surprise as heavy showers were reported in many parts of the city. Central areas such as Navi Peth, Deccan, and Garware College witnessed light showers while Sarasbagh, Sinhagad Road, Senapati Bapat Road, Erandwane, and Aundh received moderate rainfall.

The meteorological department had predicted the likelihood of rain in Pune and other areas for the next 2-3 days, and the forecast has proven accurate.

As per the latest updates, Warje and Kothrud are experiencing scattered showers while Sadashiv Peth and Tilak Road areas are getting steady rainfall. The downpour has not stopped in Dhanori and Bhairavnagar, and Tingre Nagar and Vishrantwadi have also witnessed rain. Furthermore, the intensity of rain has increased near Dandekar Bridge.

Residents are advised to take necessary precautions and stay indoors unless it is essential to venture out.
