Heroin drug worth Rs 53 lakhs seized in Pune

Pune, November 22 : Officials from the anti-dacoity cell of Pune city police Crime Branch have seized 380 gram Heroin drug from an accused near Navle bridge on the Sinhgad road.

The arrested accused has been identified as Vishal Popatbhai Patel (27), a resident of Narhe.

The arrest was made under guidance of DCP (crime branch) P R Patil, ACP Suresh Bhosale and inspector Rajendra Kadam.

An FIR against the accused has been registered with Sinhgad road police station for offences under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
