Dada J.P. Vaswani at the Global Citizen Festival
The Global Citizen Festival, the first initiative of Global Citizen India was inaugurated at the MMRDA ground in the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai on November 19, 2016.
The festival was headlined by Coldplay, along with several major artistes like A. R.Rahman, Amitabh Bachchan, Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan and international guests.
This very grand global festival in India for the first time, elicited tremendous excitement, especially among the youth. Revered Dada J.P. Vaswani was among the dignatories invited to give a message to the youths. There was also a LIVE video message by Prime Minister Modi.
Dada’s words were greeted by the 80,000 strong exuberant crowd, comprising mainly of youngsters, with loud applause and cheering. Dada said age does not decide how young you are. Your mindset is the deciding factor. An 18 year old can be old and an 81 year old can still be considered to be in his youth.
Be open to new and exciting ideas and instead of merely talking, let the youth work towards building a brave new world. Through these brief but succinct words Dada energised the vast gathering with positivity and hope. This 98 year old youngster had touched a connecting chord with the thousands of youth present.
