Himachal Pradesh Issues direction To DC and SP Of Kullu And Shimla As Tourist Footfall Increase

Shimla, 7th July 2021: Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that due to the increasing heat in the plains, tourists from all over the country have turned to Himachal. Tourists are welcome in Himachal Pradesh, but the way tourists are increasing in the city it is a matter of concern.

Tourists will have to follow the SOP; otherwise, the government will have to take strict action. Orders have been given to the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of Kullu and Shimla districts to deploy police personnel at tourist places and regulate the crowd.

The office-bearers of the Hotelier Association have been asked to ensure that the Covid SOP is followed. It is worth noting that the central government has expressed concern about the corona infection becoming uncontrollable again due to the increasing crowd in tourist places of the state.

Chief Minister said that in view of the increasing number of tourists and monsoon in the state, the Public Works Department has been directed to improve the condition of all major roads, so that there is no problem in the way of the movement of tourists.

Instructions have been given to the administration of all the districts to develop effectively mechanisms. If any road is obstructed due to rain or landslide, then proper arrangements should be made to restore it immediately and tourists should get the information related to it.

Appealing to the tourists not to be careless, the people warned of the imminent danger. Now after commenting on the crowd of tourists on behalf of the Central Government, the Chief Minister has issued strict instructions to the SP and DC.
