Hindu Mahila Sabha celebrates Diwali with the down-trodden kids

Pune, October 31, 2019: The ‘Hindu Mahila Sabha’ a non-profit organization, this year celebrated the festival of Diwali along with the under-privileged children from the slums near Sahajanand society at Karve Nagar. The program was initiated by Anagha Thombare of Aas Foundation in which all the children were given Diwal Faral, sweets and essential merchandise for their daily use along with Diwali festivity items. Dignitaries from Hindu Mahila Sabha including Supriya Damle, Smita Natu, Mrunal Godbole, Neela Moghe, Prachi Sapre and Sudha Lele were present at the event. The organization undertakes such social initiatives every year during the festivities.

During the festival of Navratri, the organization also conducted ‘Kumarika Poojan’ of girls from the underprivileged background including the children of commercial sex workers and other deprived adolescents.
