Hinjawadi, Maan, Alandi, Gahunje, Mhalunge Among 11 Villages Which Can Be Included In PCMC
Pimpri Chinchwad, November 7, 2020: As many as 11 villages surrounding Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) are set to get included into PCMC. “A proposal has been sent to State Government and we are waiting for final nod”, said state assistant secretary Satish Moghe.
Chinchwad MLA Laxman Jagtap has also sent a letter to the state government demanding the inclusion of these 11 villages in PCMC. In the letter, he asked to include Hinjawadi, Maan, Marunji, Gahunje, Nere, Sangwade and Jambe villages. Hinjawadi and Gahunje which are known hub for IT sector and international stadium respectively need amenities which the gram panchayats could not provide and thus it is necessary to include them in PCMC.
“These areas are facing problems like garbage collection and disposal, equitable water distribution, road, street lights etc”, he mentioned.
