Hockey: St. Joseph’s eves suffer mixed results, St. Patrick’s HS draw one, lose another
Pune, 13th February 2026: St. Josephs, Pashan girls had mixed results by winning one and losing the other in their respective age groups, while St. Patrick’s H.S boys played out a draw and lost the other in the Fr. Schoch Memorial 2026 Inter School Hockey tournament powered by Bharat Forge Kalyani Group at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Nehrunagar-Pimpri, here on Friday.
The tournament is being held under the aegis of Hockey Maharashtra and organized by ELAN (Ex Loyola Alumni Network) along with Loyola High School for the sixth year in succession.
In the Girls, Under-14 section, St. Joseph’s, Pashan were given a rude shock when they lost to GRPS, Narayangaon 0-3. The goal scorers for GRPS included a brace by Sanskrti Kolhe (44’, 58’) and (Tanvi Samvanshi (4’).
Later, in the Girls Under-17s section St Joseph’s downed Shivneri Vidyalaya, Junnar 3-0 with Anvi Rawat (32’, 45’) netting a double while Rhythm Kurkure (32’) added one to the tally.
In the, Boys, Under-14 category, Shree Anantrao Kulkarni English Medium School, Narayangaon and St. Patrick’s H.S played out a 0-0 draw.
Later, in the Girls, Under-14 section, GRPS, Narayangaon pipped St. Patrick’s H.S 1-0 with Tanvi Samvanshi (34’) netting the match winner.
Later, in the same Boys, Under-14 section, Shree Anantrao Kulkarni English Medium School, Narayangaon and Col. Bhagat H.S played out a 1-1 draw. Shrey Sahare (25’) netted for the Narayangao team, while Sakib Shah (44’) leveled scores for Col. Bhagat H.S.
In the Girls, Under-17 section, Lokmanya Tikak H.S put an end to Shivneri Vidyalaya, Junnar 4-0. Pushpalata Akhade (4’, 59’), Lajari Nepali (19’) and Anjali Zombade (55’) scored for the winners.
In the Girls, Under-17 category, Col. Bhagat H.S went down to Shivneri Vidyalaya, Junnar 0-2. The goal scorers were Ichha Hulawale (25’) and Saee Mule (25’)
