Pune, October 16, 2020: The process of home delivery of your LPG Cylinder will not be the same as before because the delivery system is going to change from next month.

Oil companies are all set to implement the new LPG cylinder delivery system from 1 November to stop the theft of domestic cylinder and to spot the proper customer.

What is this new system and how will the home delivery change?

The new system is being named as DAC i.e. Delivery Authentication Code. Now just by booking, the cylinder will not be delivered, but a code will be sent to your registered mobile number, that delivery will not be completed until you show the code to the delivery boy.

However, if there’s a customer who has not updated the mobile number to the distributor, then the delivery man will have an app through which you’ll be able to update your number in real-time and you will be able to generate the code after that.

In such a situation, problems will increase for those customers whose addresses and mobile numbers are wrong. Because of this, the delivery of LPG cylinders can be stopped.

Oil companies are getting to implement this technique within the first 100 smart cities. After this, the rest can be gradually implemented in other cities as well. Its pilot project is already underway in Jaipur.

The oil companies have got a success rate of more than 95 per cent from this project. One must keep in mind that this system will not be applicable to commercial cylinders, these rules only apply for domestic cylinders.
