Housefull 5: Akshay Kumar And Sajid Nadiadwala Team Up Again For Comedy Gold

Mumbai, 18 July 2023: With the much-anticipated release of OMG 2 just around the corner, fans of Akshay Kumar have even more reason to celebrate as the talented actor gears up to begin shooting for the long-awaited sequel, Housefull 5. The buzz around the film is that it will be an even grander and more entertaining spectacle than its predecessors.

Housefull 5, backed and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, has been a labour of love for the filmmaker, who also happens to be the scriptwriter for the franchise. Speaking to Pinkvilla, Nadiadwala revealed his excitement about crafting the over-the-top scenes that the Housefull series is famous for. He acknowledged the challenges of managing a successful franchise and the risk of reaching saturation points but remained confident about Housefull 5’s potential to surprise and delight audiences.

Nadiadwala fondly recalled the success of Housefull 4, which became a massive hit and the biggest comedy film starring Akshay Kumar. Now, he plans to take Housefull 5 to even greater heights, promising a larger-than-life experience for the viewers.

Preparations for Housefull 5 are already in full swing, with shooting scheduled to commence in December or January, aiming for a Diwali 2024 release. The director, Tarun Mansukhani, has been finalized, and the script is locked in. Nadiadwala expressed his enthusiasm about the project and assured fans that the film would surpass the scale and entertainment value of Housefull 4.

While the wait for Housefull 5 continues, audiences can look forward to Sajid Nadiadwala’s upcoming production venture, ‘Bawaal,’ set to release on July 21 on Amazon Prime Video. The film, helmed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in pivotal roles.
