Step-by-Step Process to Change Surname in Aadhaar
Visit the official Aadhaar website.
Navigate to the My Aadhaar section and click on Update Demographics Data.
Enter your Aadhaar number and the captcha code.
Select the Name option to update your surname.
Enter your new name.
Upload supporting documents such as your marriage certificate and your husband’s Aadhaar card.
Pay the ₹50 fee to submit the request.

After submission, make sure to note down the SRN (Service Request Number). This number is essential for tracking the status of your update request.

How to Check the Status of Your Aadhaar Update
On the Aadhaar website, click on My Aadhaar in the blue navigation bar.
Select Check Aadhaar Update Status, which is the second option in the dropdown.
Choose SRN from the given options (Enrolment, SRN, URN, SID).
Enter your SRN number and the captcha code, then click Submit.
