How to Travel during Lockdown in Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Area? Know About Various Passes

Pimpri, April 14, 2020: It’s been 22 days since lockdown has been implemented in Pimpri-Chinchwad and other parts of Maharashtra, with restriction in movement of people and vehicles. However, in some emergencies government has allowed people to travel and use vehicles.

Now the lockdown has been extended till May 3. If you are residing under the jurisdiction of Pimpri-Chinchwad police commissionerate, this is how you can get e-pass (police permission or pass) for travel.

For travelling in Pimpri-Chinchwad and Pune: If you want to travel within Pimpri-Chinchwad or to Pune, you will have to apply to either Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone 1 or Zone 2 depending under whose jurisdiction you reside. You can apply by sending details (like Aadhaar, Name, Phone no., Vehicle No. Dates of travel, From to location, Reason) on email to either [email protected] / mobile number 9834957526 or [email protected] / mobile number 9529861471

DCP Zone 1 covers these police stations – Pimpri, Chinchwad, Nigdi, Bhosari, Bhosari MIDC, Chakan, Alandi and Dighi

DCP Zone 2 include these police stations – Sangvi, Wakad, Hinjawadi, Dehuroad, Chikhali, Talegaon Dabhade, Talegaon MIDC

For Travelling to Other Districts in Maharashtra: If you have a valid reason for emergency travel, you can apply on covid19.mhpolice.in  Mention your Essential Service Reasons / Purpose of the travel and other details on the website. After filling the required information and uploading the required documents, you will get a token number (keep it safely to check the status of your application). After verification, if your request is approved, you will get the option to download e-pass. Keep a soft copy and hard copy of the e-pass which you will be required to show to police during travel at check posts.

For Travelling Outside Maharashtra: For the reason of serious medical or other emergency send an email on [email protected]  with necessary details. If approved, Maharashtra Police Director General of Police (DGP) office Mumbai will issue the pass.
