I Will Neither Be MP From Pune Nor Will I Be Guardian Minister: Fadnavis

Pune, 2nd September 2022: For the past few days, a discussion regarding Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis being the Guardian Minister of Pune was doing rounds. The discussion that Fadnavis will be the candidate of the BJP in 2024 was also gaining momentum.

Fadnavis was expected to become a member of parliament from Pune. But now, Fadnavis has clarified that he will not be the guardian minister of Pune and will not be an MP either, putting a curtain on this discussion.

Fadnavis has come to Pune for government and private events during the Ganeshotsav festival. At that time, he interacted with the media. When asked by reporters whether he will be the guardian minister and MP of Pune, Fadnavis flatly refused.

Fadnavis said, “I will not be the guardian minister of Pune and will not become an MP. It is just a talk in the media.”

He also asked the media if they wanted him to be an MP in Maharashtra.

Regarding cabinet expansion, Fadnavis said the cabinet will be expanded soon. At the same time, Fadnavis remained silent on the question of if the Congress leaders will be given cabinet positions.
