ICAI emerge as champions at the CREDAI Cricket Premier League
Pune, February 26, 2021: The CREDAI Cricket Premier League (CCPL) organised by CREDAI- Pune Metro held at PYC Hindu Gymkhana, Pune on Thursday concluded with the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) winning the final match of the tournament.
Teams including CREDAI- Pune Metro (CRPM), Indian Society of Structural Engineers (ISSE), Architects Engineers Surveyors Association (AESA), Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAI) and Property Realtors of Pune (PROP) participated in the one-day tournament.
The finals were played between ICAI and IIA. While opting to bat first, ICAI scored 74/3 from 6 overs with batsman Sahil Parakh scoring 26 of 9 deliveries with 6 boundaries and a strike rate of 288.89.
In the second innings ICAI bowlers bowled few brilliant spells to reduce IIA to 49/5 from 6 overs and winning the final match by 26 runs.
Sahil Parakh of ICAI, Pune was declared Man of the Match, while Sunil Jadhav of IIA, Pune was declared Man of the Series for his all round performance. Amit Baldota of ICAI, Pune was declared the Best Batsman and Anand Dayma of ICAI, Pune was declared Best Bowler of the series.
The inauguration ceremony of the tournament was graced by Suhas Merchant, President, Credai Pune Metro along with Presidents of all other associations and Chief Guest, Dr Kaustubh Radkar, also known as Ironman among others.
The winning team was presented with the trophy by the members of CREDAI- Pune Metro including Manish Jain – VP, Aditya Javdekar, Secretary, Ketan Ruikar and Punit Oswal, Convenor of the CCPL.
