IIT JAM Exam 2022: Candidates Can Apply For IIT JAM From August 30th

New Delhi, 15th July 2021: IIT Roorkee Director Prof. Ajit K Chaturvedi has announced to organize joint admission test for masters (JAM). The application portal of JAM will be open for interested candidates from August 30tg to October 11th.

There will be seven exam papers in JAM 2022 – Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS), and Physics (PH).

Candidates can appear for one or two papers. All eligible citizens of India can participate in JAM 2022 and there is no age limit for this. JAM scores are valid for one year only. Based on the JAM score one can get admission in other centrally funded technology institutes like NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET Punjab, and post-graduate programs of various IISERs.

Prof Chaturvedi said that JAM is the gateway to higher studies of Science, Mathematics, and Economics. Over the years, students who have entered IITs, IISc through JAM have risen to high positions in the academia and corporate world.

The exam of JAM 2022 will be online in various cities across the country. It is a Computer Based Test (CBT). This is a completely objective test. In which three types of questions are asked which are, Multiple Choice, Multiple Select, and Numerical Answers. Every year more than one lakh candidates give this exam. JAM was started by IITs and IISc in the academic year 2004-05.
