IMD issues heavy rainfall warning to several districts including Pune

Pune, July 9, 2020: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) Mumbai has issued a warning of heavy rainfall for several districts in the state until July 13.

Heavy rainfall has been predicted in the south Konkan districts of Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg from July 9 to 13, and from July 11 to 13 in the north Konkan district of Raigad. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning are also likely to occur at isolated places in Parbhani, Hingoli, Beed, Latur and Nanded districts on July 11, 12 and 13.

Meanwhile, IMD Pune has forecasted low rainfall along with isolated thundering activity in Pune till July 13, and low to medium rainfall till July 15.

For Mumbai, generally cloudy weather with the possibility of moderate rain/showers in the city and suburbs has been forecasted for the next 48 hours.
