Increase In Rainfall In Maharashtra Due To Dry Weather, Minimum Temperature Decreases

Pune, 18th November 2022: Due to clear sky conditions and dry weather in the state, minimum night temperature has decreased, and rainfall has increased to some extent. This drop in temperature will continue for three to four days. After that, there is a possibility that the temperature will increase to some extent and the hail will decrease.
At present, West Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha have seen an increase in night rainfall at some places. The heat is also less in this area.
A low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal and subsequently over the Arabian Sea, followed by rain over the southern states resulting in partly cloudy conditions over Maharashtra. It increased the minimum night temperature and reduced the cold, mainly in Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan.
At present, the rainy season has cleared. Due to this, clear skies and dry weather conditions were created in the state as well. Due to this, the night temperature in Marathwada and Vidarbha has decreased for the last two days. After that, the temperature is also decreasing in Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan. There are indications of a low-pressure area forming again in the Bay of Bengal in two days. It seems that it will not have any effect on the state at present. There is a possibility of snowfall in some parts of the Himalayan region. The temperature will decrease in the northern states. The minimum temperature will also drop by 2-3 degrees in Gujarat. During this period, the temperature will continue to decrease in Maharashtra as well. However, the temperature will increase slightly from November 22.
The minimum night temperature is below average in almost all parts of the state except Mumbai city. So the night is cold. The temperature in Mumbai is at par with the average. On Thursday (November 17), Nagar recorded the lowest minimum temperature in the state at 12.0 degrees Celsius. After that Aurangabad 12.5, Mahabaleshwar 12.8, and Pune 12.9 degree celsius minimum temperature was recorded. Solapur, Satara, Parbhani, Amravati, Gondia, Wardha, and other areas are also experiencing frost due to a major drop in the minimum temperature compared to the average.
