Australia, January 19, 2021: With the charismatic batting of young opener Shubman Gill (91), Team India’s Wall Cheteshwar Pujara (56), and talented wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant (89 not out), India bowled Australia on the fifth day of the fourth and final cricket Test match at Brisbane’s Gabba ground on Tuesday. They created history by defeating Australia by three wickets.

India won the Test in Brisbane for the first time and won the four-match series 2–1. After winning the match, India ended the 32-year-old reign of Australia at the Gabba ground, retaliating to the all-out at 36 on the Adelaide ground. Australia had last seen defeat in Gaba in 1989. Ever since then, the Australian team was never defeated here.

This is India’s first win in the seven Tests played at the Gaba ground. India had lost five and played a draw in their last six Tests at this ground. There were three big heroes of India’s historic victory at the Gaba ground. Shubman, Pujara, and Pant batted on the last day of the match. Shubman played an aggressive inning of 91 runs in 146 balls with the help of eight fours and two sixes. Pujara scored 56 runs in 211 balls with the help of seven fours. Pant scored 89 not out with the help of nine fours and a six in 138 balls to seal India’s victory in the match.

Apart from them, Captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 24, Mayank Agarwal scored nine runs and Washington Sundar scored 22 runs in 29 balls with the help of two fours and a six. India ended their tour of Australia with a 2–1 victory. India lost the ODI series 1-2 in this tour but came back to win the T20 series 2-1 and the Test series 2-1.

India had a target of 328 runs to win this match. When India extended their innings by four runs without losing any wicket in the morning, no one expected that India would achieve such a difficult target in the fourth innings. India recorded a historic victory by scoring 329 for seven wickets in 97 overs.
