India Coronavirus : 97,894 New Coronavirus Cases, 1,132 died in last 24 hrs
New Delhi, 17 Sep, 2020: Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in India. The total number of cases in the country has reached to more than 51 lakhs and more than 83 thousand people have died. According to the latest data released by the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, more than 97 thousand cases of corona have been reported and 1132 people have died. The total recoveries have jumped to 40,25,079 with recovery of 82,719 patients in the last 24 hours.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,118,253 across the country. Out of this, 4,025,079 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 83,198 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 1,009,976 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
Highest cases in Maharashtra
Maharashtra has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in the country. Across Maharashtra, there were 23,365 new COVID19 cases yesterday taking the total number of cases to 11,21,221. Also, 474 people died while 17,559 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 2,97,125 active cases. Till now 7,92,832 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 70.71 %.
