New Delhi, 10th May 2025: In a significant escalation of diplomatic tensions with Pakistan, India has issued a strong warning that any future terrorist attack targeting its territory will be treated as an act of war. Government sources confirmed that India will respond firmly and decisively to any such provocation.

This warning comes amid a series of developments that have further strained the already fragile relationship between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.

Earlier, India announced the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty, a move that drew a sharp reaction from Pakistan. Islamabad declared that any disruption to the flow of river waters into its territory would be seen as a hostile act.

Now, in a direct message to Pakistan, Indian officials have made it clear that any future terror attack on Indian soil will be considered equivalent to a declaration of war.
