Indian Railways Adds 540 More Trains for Holi Celebrations: Pune Division Advises One Hour Early Station Arrival

Pune, 21st March 2024: During the ongoing festive season of Holi, Indian Railways is operating 540 additional train services to accommodate the surge in passengers. These trains are connecting major destinations across the country, including routes like Delhi-Patna, Kolkata-Puri, and Guwahati-Ranchi. To manage the crowds, queues are being formed at terminus stations with the help of Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff to ensure orderly entry into unreserved coaches. Additional RPF personnel have been deployed at major stations for passenger security, and officers are on emergency duty to ensure smooth operations. Staff are also stationed in various sections to address any disruptions promptly. Timely announcements of train arrivals and departures with platform numbers are being made to assist passengers.
