Pune, 17th September 2021: A transit treatment centre (TTC) is being set up at Bavdhan by the Forest Department to provide timely treatment for injured animals. The shelter will be provided to paralysed animals in this centre.

Currently, there is a three-acre animal orphanage at Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park at Katraj. All the animals injured in road accidents or human-wildlife conflict are being admitted and kept in this centre.
