INTER-SERVICE CRICKET TOURNAMENT ORGANIZED BETWEEN IDAS OFFICERS OF DAD & IRS OFFICERS OF INDIAN REVENUE SERVICES

Pune, 4th December 2022: An Inter-Service Cricket Tournament was organized between IDAS Officers of DAD and IRS Officers of Indian Revenue Services on 03.12.2022 at Cadence Cricket Academy, Mundhawa, Pune.

On this occasion Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA (SC), Pune inaugurated the match. Great number of Officers and staffs were also present on the ground to cheer up the players and witness the 20:20 match. The ground was beaming with effervescent players in colours and sportive look.

The match started at 9:30AM. The Chief Guest Dr. Rajeev Chavan tossed the coin. Shri Anand Agarwal, IDAS, Director, NADFM lead the DAD team and Sh. Ajay Bobde, IRS, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax Department captained team IRS .Team DAD won the toss and opted to bat first. Playing first, Team DAD scored 108 runs on the cost of 10 wickets. Team IRS chasing the target and won the match by 6 wickets. Mr. Ganesh Sontake from team DAD played splendidly well and scored 28 runs of 9 balls. Whereas Mr. Nitin Patil from Team IRS scored 49 runs. The award for best batsman went to Sh. Ganesh Sontake, Whereas the prize for best bowler went to Sh. Mallikarjun Utture, Commissioner of Income Tax Department. Man of the Match award went to Sh. Ajay Dhoke who scored 33 runs with a bowling figure of 3.3(o)-11(r)-2(w).

In his key-note address the Chief Guest said that during Covid-19 Pandemic, people were isolated in quarantine in their respective abodes and were addicted to mobile phones thus getting separated and unsocialised. This has resulted in increase in number of mental issues and problems especially emotional separation from themselves. To reduce this stress this friendly match was organized to strengthen and rejuvenate the mental and physical conditions. In the charged schema he also announced that under the aegis of PCDA (SC) a 20-20 knock tournament will be arranged between all the Central government offices and State government offices in Pune area for which details will follow.

To make this event successful Shri Alok Kumar Tiwari, IDAS and their team having Sh. Ravi Kumar, SAO, Shri Bimal Kumar, AO, Shri Rajesh Sharma, AAO, Shri Dhananjay Thakur, AAO and the staff of administration section took a lot of efforts. The commentary for this match was done by Dr. Anil Kudia and Sh. Brijesh Shukla in Hindi and English respectively

Winning Team and meritorious players were felicitated by Chief Guest on this occasion.
