NHAI Takes Action On Encroachments On Pune-Satara Highway
Pune, 5th December 2022: On behalf of the National Highway Authority (NHAI), action was taken against encroachments on the Pune-Satara highway.
The authority stated that this action was taken on Service Road, in the area of three kilometres from Khed-Shivapur to Varu on the highway. 150 kiosks, food carts and unauthorized constructions have been removed.
There have been various encroachments on the highway. The campaign to remove these encroachments has been taken up by the NHAI. Due to encroachments on service roads, these roads are not being used and are causing traffic jams on the main roads. Therefore, service roads are being opened for motorists.
A team of 50 officers has been formed for this. Encroachment action has been started with the cooperation of rural police.
