Since the IPL is being celebrated after four years, there is a lot of curiosity about it, and an opening ceremony will be held after 2019. The BCCI canceled the IPL in 2019 in the wake of the Pulwama attack and decided to donate its proceedings to the families of the martyred jawans. However, the opening ceremony was canceled for the next three years due to Covid-19. Moreover, the IPL is returning to the ‘Home and Away’ format for the first time since 2018.
