IPL 2023: LSG Capitulates To GT By Losing Four Wickets In Four balls In Final Over

Lucknow, 22nd April 2023: Chasing the 136 runs set by Gujarat Titans in the 30th match of IPL at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow reached 106 for two wickets in 15 overs. But Lucknow lost five batsmen in the last five overs but did not score a simple 30 runs. Captain KL Rahul scored the highest 68 runs. But for this, he took 61 balls.
Gujarat pulled the match to the last over and with 12 runs needed in the last over, veteran Mohit Sharma took two wickets giving away just four runs. Two Lucknow batsmen also went back to the pavilion in this over. Lucknow lost the match by seven runs.
Earlier, in the match against Lucknow Super Giants, Gujarat reached 135 for six wickets in 20 overs while batting first. Captain Hardik Pandya played a powerful inning of 66 runs off 50 balls. Opener Wriddhiman Saha made a valuable contribution by scoring 47 runs.
But despite Saha and Pandya getting off to a good start, Gujarat’s train stalled in the middle overs. Even after 16 overs, the team could not cross the century. Finally, Hardik Pandya changed his gear and helped Gujarat to score 135 runs.
