IRCTC Introduces Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train Dpartures from Pune for Religious and Leisure Travel

Pune, 16th June 2023: Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), the Mini Ratna PSU arm of Indian Railways, has unveiled the Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train as part of its efforts to promote affordable experiential tourism across the country. The initiative aligns with the Bharat Gaurav Policy of the Ministry of Railways and aims to provide economical and affordable tours to various destinations.

The Fortnightly Departures from Pune will cater to religious travel, covering prominent destinations such as Vaishnodevi, Haridwar, Mathura, Jagannath Puri, GangaSagar, Gaya, Benaras, Ayodhya, Ramayan & Rampad Circuits, Jain Circuits of Shikharji-Parasnath, Palitana, Dwarka-Somnath, Ujjain Mahakal-Omkareshwar, Nathdwara, Trimbakeshwar, Bhimashankar, Grushneshwar, Shirdi, ParliVaijnath, Kolhapur Mahalaxmi, Murudeshwar, Renigunta, Madurai, Rameshwaram, Kanyakumari, Tiruchirappalli, Thiruvananthapuram, and more. Additionally, leisure, fun, and historical destinations like Kevadia, Agra, Amritsar Wagah,
Dalhousie, Kullu Shimla Manali, Bengaluru, Mysuru, Ooty, Kodaikanal, Goa, Munnar-Thekkady-Alleppey-Kumarakom, and Chamba-Khajjiar will be included in the 8 to 14-day circuits.

The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train, equipped with an LHB rake comprising various classes, including 2AC, 3AC, and Sleeper class, offers an aesthetically curated travel experience. The train features an all-over Passenger Announcement system, in-house security through trained personnel and CCTV cameras. With a total capacity of 750 passengers, the train ensures comfort and safety throughout the journey.

IRCTC welcomes B2B opportunities in religious, educational, social, historical, and leisure travel segments for bulk, corporate, and customized travel needs. The corporation also invites business partners to become Direct Sales Agents on a commission basis.
