Irrfan Khan has been suffering from a serious illness for the last two years. He has a serious disease called neuroendocrine tumour for which he has been undergoing treatment in London for the last two years. Irrfan appeared in the film ‘English Medium’ with Kareena Kapoor and Radhika Madan some time ago. Irrfan used to go to London during the shooting of the film. Irrfan was last seen in ‘Caravan’, released in 2018.

Recently, Irfan gave an interview to Mumbai Mirror newspaper in which he said that how this time was for him. Irrfan said, “For me, this round has been like a roller-coaster ride. Pay special attention to whatever moments of memories, happiness, because they are unstable. We cried a little and laughed a lot. I went through a terrible restlessness, but somewhere I controlled him.

The best thing about it is that I spent a lot of time with my sons. Saw them growing. This is a very important time for a teenager. Like I have a younger son, the older one is no longer a teenager. What can I say about Sutapa (his wife)? She stood with me round the clock. She kept looking after me and if I get a chance to live, I would like to live for her. That is a big reason why I am there so far.”
