New Delhi, January 28, 2021: In a viral message on social media, it is being claimed that the central government is providing an unemployment allowance of up to Rs 3,800 per month to the unemployed. This claim is completely fake and misleading. This claim has been found to be fake in the central government’s Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check.

The central government has not made any such announcement. A few days ago, in a video viral, it was being claimed that the central government is giving a cash amount of 3 lakhs to the account of all women under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Credit Scheme’.

Earlier, in the name of ‘Kanya Samman Yojana’, the video of depositing Rs 2,500 in the accounts every month was going viral. Many such fake videos are going viral on social media in the name of Modi government schemes. People are being tricked in the name of ‘Stree Swabhimaan Yojana’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Mahila Samman Yojana’. Many such claims in the fact check are proving to be fake.

PIB is the main agency for informing newspapers and electronic media about the policies, program initiatives, and achievements of the Government of India. PIB has stated that such fake news is circulated on social media whenever the situation in the country is bad, not only in the time of crisis. In such a situation, trust the information received from social media only after a good test.
