IT Employees Working From Home, Industrial Workers Must Get Second Dose Of Vaccine ASAP: Pune District Collector
Pune, 27th January 2022: Today, District Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh in a meeting held with the representatives of the industry stated that officers, staff of industrial establishments in the district need to complete the vaccination by taking the second dose of covid vaccine immediately.
For today’s meeting, Resident Deputy Collector Himmat Kharade, Joint Director of Industries Sadashiv Survase, Regional Officer of Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) Sanjay Deshmukh, Avinash Hatgal, Assistant District Health Officer Dr Abhay Tidke, Director General of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) Prashant Girbane was present. The online meeting was organized in collaboration with MCCIA.
Sanjay Deshmukh stated that complete covid vaccination is an effective way to prevent covid infection. Deshmukh said that vaccination of all officers and workers in all industries as well as in industrial establishments needs to be completed to prevent covid infection. “Although vaccination rates in industrial establishments appear to be good, according to statistics, the remaining employees who have not yet received the second dose should be vaccinated immediately”, he further added.
“Although IT employees are still working from home, they should be given a second dose of the vaccine”, informed Deshmukh. He added that the campaign could be speeded up if vaccination was required. He also said that even after full vaccination, it is important to continue using masks, regular hand washing, social distancing, and other Covid safety protocols.
Representatives of the industry were also informed about the measures taken for vaccination.
The virtual meeting was attended by representatives of MCCIA, Deccan Chamber of Commerce, Chakan Industries Association, Ranjangaon Industries Association, Baramati Manufacturers Association, and major industries in the district.
