Snehasingh Hridaynarayan Singh, a 35-year-old resident of Hinjewadi, filed a complaint with the Hinjewadi police station, leading to the registration of a case against the accused, Adhuri Ganguly.

The fraudulent scheme unfolded between March 28 and April 28, and the complaint was lodged two months later. According to the police, the accused initially approached the victim through WhatsApp, sending a link and offering a part-time job that involved liking YouTube videos. The accused paid the victim 150 and 350 rupees for completing these initial tasks. Gaining the victim’s trust, the fraudster then presented an enticing opportunity, claiming to have high-paying tasks. The victim was assured that after completing three tasks, the invested amount would be returned with a 30 percent profit.

Believing the promises, the victim invested a total of 49 lakhs in three tasks. However, once the funds were transferred, the accused disappeared, failing to provide any returns or reimburse the initial investment.
