Uttarakhand, March 18, 2021: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat caused controversy recently by commenting on the clothes of girls. After giving a statement on the ripped jeans of girls, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand is being trolled on social media. Describing this statement of Tirath as shameful, he is being targeted from all sides. Recently, Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Amitabh Bachchan, gave a strong reply to this statement of CM Tirath.

After Navya, her grandmother and film actress Jaya Bachchan has also criticized CM Tirath’s statement. Apart from Jaya Bachchan, Bollywood actress Gul Panag has also responded to this controversial statement of the CM in a very cool way. Talking to news agency ANI, Jaya Bachchan said, ‘Such statements do not suit a Chief Minister. Those sitting on this post should think before making any statement and then make a statement. You are making such statements in today’s time. Now, will you dissect someone’s culture with clothes? It is cheap thinking, which promotes crimes against women.’

Apart from Jaya Bachchan, Gul Panag has also responded to the CM very well. The actress shared a photo of herself with her daughter on Instagram, in which she is seen wearing ripped jeans. In this photo, Gul Panag’s daughter is also wearing a jeans top. Along with sharing the photo, Gul Panag has not written any specific caption, just used a hashtag which is enough to say everything. The actress shared the photo and wrote, ‘#RippedJeansTwitter’.

What was the statement made by CM Tirath?
