JCM Level ROC- IV Meeting Held At PCDA(O) Office In Pune
Pune, 27 August 2021: A meeting of Joint Consultative Machinery / Regional Office Council IV ROC-IV for both the Quarter Ending 03/2021 and 06/2021 was held in the Conference Room of Office of the Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers), PCDA(O), Pune at 11.30 AM. under the Chairmanship of Dr Rajeev Chavan, PCDA(O) Pune because of COVID 19, the meeting could not be done earlier. Representatives of Staff Members and all Official ndc IDAS members attended the meeting.
At the outset, PCDA(O) welcomed all and mentioned that all-out efforts are sincerely being made to resolve local issues/ problems. PCDA(O) lauded and commended the efforts of all Staff members employees of the Office and appreciated their devotion, dedication & commitment to service especially in an extreme time of distress and difficult period of the Second wave of COVID 19.
A detailed discussion was held amongst Staff side Leader, A K Krishnamurthy, Staff side Secretary, Shri N B Parkhe and other Staff side members with Dr. Rajeev Chavan, IDAS, ndc, PCDA(O) Pune Chairman JCM/ROC IV O/o the PCDA(O) Pune. It was decided that there is ample of scope for simplification, rationalization
& information of work for which development work of new IT modules has already been undertaken. This would ease the pressure of work and will aid/assist during the 3rd wave of COVID 19 benefit in error-free and prompt payment to all Army Officers. Staff side members were asked to identify further such areas where improvisation was visible/possible and a distinct possibility exists for its applicability and implementation.
The Chairman made a special mention about the recent celebrations of 75th Independence Day held in this Office carried with full fervour to maintain good spirit among Officers and Staff of this office. The Chairman also emphasized at length and advised all present to exercise utmost caution and execute full precaution in the wake of the anticipated 3rd Wave of Covid-19 especially taking into account the prevailing situation in Maharashtra / Pune which has turned out to be an endemic zone with greater than 1000 cases still.
All were also reminded by the Chairman about the loss of five precious lives of the Officer/Staff of the Office in the fight against the Pandemic of COVID-19 who were martyred doing their official duty. Pre-emptive precautionary and prevention measures need to be adopted, augmented and applied prior to the emergence of 3rd wave of COVID 19 since prevention is better than cure & there is no cure except the prevention of it.
Further, a brief account of action was taken on the agenda of the Steering Committee Meeting held on 16.08.2021 was narrated to the house by Chairman Shri Lehana Singh, IDAS, Dy. CDA (Admin) were re-discussed and most of the issues were dropped, since administrative action on almost all the issues were already taken under the guidance of PCDA (O) Pune.
The Chairman also took the opportunity of this Forum to reveal future plans keeping in view the Welfare of Staff, like Creation of Open-air gym, Implementation of Solar Project of 250 KW on Roof top for making use of non-conventional renewable clean energy and saving of Government money on electricity, Application of Water harvesting for water conservation, beautification of Office Building and Building Entrance Gate, renovation of CSD/ Canteen shop, etc. These initiatives/plans were revealed by the Chairman which were welcomed by all the Members from Administration as well as by the Members from Staff Side. Staff Side Leader thanked PCDA(O) Pune finally for all the support, guidance and moral boosting extended to the staff of the Office.
The JCM Level ROC-IV meeting was held maintaining the COVID-19 appropriate behavior and following all the norms of social distancing/hand sanitization/ mask-wearing.
