Jharkhand stands fourth in ease of doing business ranking

Ranchi, June 17, 2019 : Chief Minister Shri Raghubar Das said that Jharkhand has got fourth place in ‘Ease of doing business’. We aim to be in the first. For that departments which are working offline, should start working online. Chief Minister was addressing review meeting of ‘Ease of doing business ranking, feedback based business reform action plan’ at Project Building.

The Chief Minister said that entrepreneur-businessman are important, they create opportunity of employment. With employment we can get rid of stigma of migration.

The Chief Minister said that those interested in investing in Jharkhand will be given all the facilities from the very beginning. In the last four year with our policies, textile and food processing units are being established in the state. JIADA has provided land to 430 industries since 2016 which has given direct employment to 60778 people.

The Chief Minister said that Jharkhand has 40% of natural resources. Investors are working to make Jharkhand a developed state with the help of natural resources.

The Chief Minister said that license to industries should be given with transparency. Ranking in ‘Ease of doing business’ is based on the feedback of industries. He said that motive of this is to provide facilities to investors through single window system.  Online information about departments, online fee submission, facilities in timely manner, execution of matters arising, establishment of tribunal, simplification of labour law, environment clearance etc  will be surveyed by World bank and ranking will be given on the basis of that. All the officials should strengthen these areas so Jharkhand can be on top in the country.

The Chief Minister said that in the last 5 year, state government has worked to improve the image of the state from corrupt. With Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’, we are working to make New India, New Jharkhand. Maximum use of IT should be ensures in the department for transparency.

The Chief Minister said that it is the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi that country becomes super power in 5-10 year. With maximum investment from national and international investor we can get rid of poverty and make India- a super power.

The Chief Secretary while emphasizing on working online said that all department should do review meeting on every Monday at 10:30 am. Those who are not reluctant to discharge the official responsibilities, their annual work report will have adverse entry.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Raghubar Das awarded ‘Certificate of Excellence’ to those done the best work in ‘Ease of doing business’.

Shri Bijay Kumar Sinha, Chief Engineer, Department of Energy, Shri Krishna Chandra Chaudhary of Department of Food Supply and Consumer Affairs, Shri Gajendra Kumar Singh of Department of Excise, Shri Sudhir Kumar Verma of Department of Home, Jail and Desaster management and Department of Fire Service, Shri Sahab Siddiqui of Department of Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms, Shri Sunil Kumar Singh of Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority were awarded.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Secretary Dr. DK Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Arun Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Shri Sanjay Kumar, Industry Secretary Shri K Ravi Kumar and others.
