Jio Launches 5 New Data Plans for Gaming: Get 10MB High-Speed Data, Play Free Cloud Games Starting at Rs 48

Pune, 27th May 2025: Reliance Jio has launched five new prepaid data plans specifically aimed at gaming enthusiasts. After introducing data-less plans, the telecom giant has now listed these new gaming plans on its official website, priced at ₹48, ₹98, ₹298, ₹495, and ₹545.
These high-speed data plans are designed for users who want to play games directly via cloud without downloading them. With each of these plans, users will get free access to JioGamesCloud—Jio’s cloud gaming service.
JioGamesCloud’s Pro Pass typically costs ₹398 with a 28-day validity, but with these new prepaid plans, users can enjoy this service at no additional cost. JioGamesCloud enables users to play premium games on PC, Jio set-top boxes, and smartphones, offering a seamless gaming experience without needing high-end hardware.
Internet Data Usage Soars in India, Rural Areas Lead the Demand
According to TRAI’s March 2025 report, internet and mobile data usage in India continues to rise rapidly, with rural areas and small towns witnessing the highest demand—especially for mobile and 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services.
India’s wireless subscriber base in the postpaid and prepaid segments has grown from 1,160.3 million to 1,163.7 million, covering both mobile and 5G FWA connections. Mobile-only increased from 1,154 million in February to 1,156.9 million in March. The 5G FWA subscriber base was at 6.8 million, with Jio accounting for the highest contribution.
In urban areas, wireless subscriptions rose from 627.94 million to 628.31 million, while in rural regions, the number increased from 526.11 million to 528.68 million—highlighting the rapid digital growth in rural India.
